Our club hosted the annual installation banquet on Thursday 06/30. We enjoyed a wonderful Enticing Cuisine meal and the fellowship that is always present at a Rotary event. Almost 50 Rotarians and their guests were joined by Governor Bill Kmiecik and his wife Betsy. Bill and Betsy are members of the Arlington Heights club and Bill’s term as District 6440 Governor begins on July 1.
Peter Lowe was honored for a successful year as Club President and Laura Newman was officially installed as the 2022 – 2023 President.
Multiple club members were presented with Distinguished Service Awards for their work supporting the club and volunteering in the community. Margaret Perreault received a Rotarian of the year award for her continual focus on Community Service. Michael Quirk also received a Rotarian of the year award for his commitment to identifying and delivering matching funds to support local and international efforts. This is the first time we have awarded multiple Rotarian of the Year awards, and both are well-deserved.
